Vampire Survivorsa game we call “the best pocket change you can spend on steam“, has a proper development roadmap now. publish on Steam, poncle game creators have outlined what they want to do with the game going forward. It’s very exciting if, like me, you’re mesmerized by the $3 game about killing skeletons and ghosts with weapons you can’t control very well.
There are nine more characters, five more levels, 16 more weapons, and two more power-ups coming. Plus, more achievements are coming, as are more Relics like the newly released Treasure Map and Arcana that look like tarot playing cards and who knows what they do – but the roadmap says they’re coming in April!
“Thanks to the huge success and support from players, new content started to be released at a much faster pace than anticipated and the script was also significantly expanded. The amount of playable characters planned for version 1.0 of the game was doubled. as well as the number of stages with the introduction of bonuses/challenges. A dozen new weapons were designed and a handful of new power-ups thrown into the mix,” says developer Poncle.
It’s a crazy change from a few months ago when Vampire Survivors was just a weird, cheap game that’s also a lot of fun. The viral success propelled him towards a game with a proper development team that will be playable on a real video game engine. Poncle puts it better:
“When I launched Vampire Survivors, all I wanted was to have a little game that allowed me to have fun creating new game content in my spare time. Thanks to their incredible support and a once-in-a-lifetime streak of luck, the game turned out to be a success amazing,” they said.
You can find Vampire Survivors on Steam to enjoy arcade roguelike vampire slaying action. You won’t survive, for the record, but you’ll have a lot of fun for very cheap.
